We are looking for help from the community to collect old technology to display. Whether something you’d like to unload, or just lend out and have back afterwards.

We are looking for the following items, but will be happy to hear about things not on the list below. We’d like to give everyone, and young people in particular, a chance to explore technology of the past, like record players, radios, telephones, typewriters, cameras, movie projectors, computers & video game consoles from years long gone. We didn’t always have smartphones and tablets, and some of these folks have never seen the items that paved the way for today’s technological age.

Please reach out to Library Director Peter Struzziero at the Winthrop Library if you have any items of interest or would like to get involved. Once we have what we need we’ll plan a date for this fall.
