Town Manager James McKenna’s office and UMass Boston’s Edward J. Collins Center for Public Management, will jointly host a community forum on the proposed Economic Development Strategic Plan for the Town of Winthrop on Thursday, June 19 at 7 p.m. at the Cummings School multi-purpose room.

Collins Center staff has been working with the Town Manager’s Office and a local volunteer steering committee to develop a strategic economic development plan designed to grow the Winthrop economy and improve the business climate for local businesses.

The purpose of the community meeting is to get feedback and additional perspective from other members of the community in helping to develop a vision for the town’s future and strategies and goals to implement the plan.
