Neighborhood Meetings to discuss plan for Centre Business District Infrastructure work
Tuesday, March 14 at 9 a.m.
& Monday, March 20 at 4 p.m.
E.B. Newton Cultural Center, Lyceum Room
45 Pauline Street
(WINTHROP, MA – March 8, 2017) – Town Manager James McKenna and the town
administration invites the public and particularly those who live or work in the Centre Business
District, to attend one of two informational meetings about the proposed and planned
infrastructure work that has been proposed for Winthrop Centre.
At this meeting town department heads, engineers and a representative of National Grid
will be on hand to discuss the start of improvements to the public utility infrastructure in the
streets surrounding French Square and the larger Centre Business District. National Grid is
asking to begin their gas utility work during the week of March 27, 2017.
In an effort to provide as much information about how this work will be scheduled and
completed, the town and National Grid will discuss how this work will be managed. Every effort
will be made to ensure the Centre remains open, with as little interruption as possible, during
construction. All information provided at the meeting will also be shared via the town website
and Town Manager’s Blog.
Please attend one of these two meetings to become informed about this project and to ask
questions.
