Marketing Director

Under the guidance of the Regional Marketing Director and the Executive Director of the community, the Marketing Director is directly responsible for all aspects of marketing, including direct sales, public relations, professional and community outreach, and lead base management.  The Marketing Director is responsible for achieving maximum occupancy potential by attracting qualified prospects and converting them into residents.  This position may also work with an outside agency which provides advertising and public relation support as well coordination of special marketing events.  The Marketing Director will work closely with all departments to assure the best possible transition for prospective and new residents. This individual must be willing to work some off hours on a regular schedule to be available to host open houses or other marketing related community events that may take place before or after regular working hours.  The current position is scheduled to be funded for approximately two years.

In addition to having outstanding communication skills this position must be able to perform the following functions including, but not limited to:

  1. Know and explain the benefits of life in the senior living community
  2. Know and explain the credibility of the community and those behind it.
  3. Greet prospects pleasantly and professionally, either in person or by telephone, presenting a positive image for the community and sponsor.
  4. Effectively manage all aspects of the lead tracking system.
  5. Know the procedures followed in tracking a prospect either to the signing of Residence Agreement and payment of a residency fee, or a clear statement of lack of interest.
  6. Interview prospective residents and/or their representatives to ascertain how the community will meet their needs.
  7. Create weekly and monthly marketing and sales summary reports for management.
  8. Respond to requests for information and brochures in a timely manner, together with personalized information that  refer to the specific personal situation of the individual or family, and why the community is uniquely appropriate to meet their needs, concerns and desired benefits
  9. Ensure that new residents are oriented to other community managers and staff during the move-in transition period, and maintain contact with the resident and family on an on-going basis.
