It’s On! Our 8th Annual Infant & Child Car Seat Inspection Event 2019
Elliot Whittier Insurance is excited to announce their 8th Annual Free Infant & Child Car Seat Inspection event for the general public!
The event will be held on Saturday, September 7th from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at Elliot Whittier Insurance, 12 Revere Street in Winthrop MA. They are located directly across from The Winthrop Marketplace.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, every 32 seconds in 2017, one child under the age of 13 in a passenger vehicle was involved in a crash. Many times, injuries and deaths can be prevented by proper use of car seats, boosters, and seat belts.
“Doing what we can to help to keep our children safe is something we can all take a small part in being responsible for, and that is why here at Elliot Whittier Insurance we offer this community service I would say that if we inspect 10 car seats, 7 or 8 of them will not be properly installed and will need our inspectors to re-install them. That said, a huge thank you to Officers Racow & Carter, and to Stephanie Long, who are certified to perform this service” said Christine O’Keefe, Business Development Manager at Elliot Whittier Insurance.

What happens during an Infant & Child Car Seat Event?
Certified Child Car Seat Inspectors will inspect your installed car seat and make sure that it is installed correctly. If it is not, they will re-install it properly.
Is there a cost to have your car seat inspected or re-installed?
There is no cost whatsoever. Elliot Whittier Insurance does this as a service to the community with help from the Winthrop Police Department, volunteers at-large, The East Boston Neighborhood Health Center, and Safety Insurance.
How long does it take to have your car seat inspected?
The actual inspection may take approximately 5 – 15 minutes. There may be a wait time if there are people ahead of you.
