What to do in Winthrop July 4th weekend

Sunday, July 2nd – Winthrop Farmers Market from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.  Stop by and listen to some music, get farm goodies for the cookout, gifts, arts & crafts and support the farmers market.

Tuesday, July 4th – The 135th Annual Horrible’s Parade – the parade kicks off at 9 AM from the Town Landing, 707 Shirley St.  Registration for parade participants begins at 7 AM at the landing.  Categories are Most Horrible, Most Original, Most Patriotic, Most Beautiful, Best Float & Most Hilarious with prizes awarded.  The parade route follows through Point Shirley ending at Coughlin Park with free festivities for all ages.  Celebrations with a DJ, leg races, pie eating contests, etc.  See you on the 4th!  If you have a question about participating in the parade contact Paul McGee at 617-448-4594
